Born the year after, Ramsay encapsulates the tumultuous emotions of that time, crafting a musical montage that serves as a paradox to the notion that beauty is lost in today's world. The track is a poignant reminder of the chaos and stress of 2001, yet fhae’s perspective breathes new life into those memories.

Featuring their signature bowed electric guitar and reverbed vocals, '2001' unfolds like a sonic journey. ‘2001 is the year before I was born,” says Ramsay. “From what I have heard it was a time of chaos and stress but somehow my parents must not have felt any burdens as I was born in the June that followed. 2001 is a montage of emotions I imagine the world endured that year."
