about

'try to land on your feet next time' takes the simple premise of air travel and dissects it into five fragments of anxiety, dread and despair.

The tracks exclusively use synth and layered vocals in both english and gibberish, and were recorded DIY in Ellena’s bedroom using GarageBand.

Each song was recorded disparately and then later reconfigured into a cohesive concept.

Ramsay’s process involves them improvising vocals on the spot, so the fact that these songs emerged singularly, over the space of a couple of years, to produce a linear narrative is all the more astounding.

Leaning more heavily into the ambient arm of their overarching experimental-ambient-folk oeuvre, 'try to land on your feet next time' previews a metaphoric plot of how we deal with chaos and trauma.
